PMC Benefit Concert 2011

Hello, DSB Fans!  We have the annual PMC BOTB this Friday at Scorekeepers.  Don’t forget to come out!  All proceeds go to charity:

Fall is Upon Us

DSB ArtworkWe want to give a special thanks to everyone who came out to Oktoberfest last week.  It looked like it was going to rain, but it stayed dry just long enough for us to have a good time.  Thanks also to Grizzly Peak, Arbor Brewing Co., and the other main street restaurants and breweries for hosting the event.  If you’re looking for something fun to do tomorrow night, then come check out our show at BTB Cantina.  Don’t fret if you can’t make; there will be more.  Mark your calendars for our return to White Street for Football Saturdays in Ann Arbor, MI.  Same band, new venue.

DSB Shirts!

Detroit Street Band now has shirts in small, medium, and large sizes.  DSB Shirt

DSB has started recording!

Nearly all the songs from Detroit Street Band’s debut album, “Songs About Girls”, have been written, and we’ve hit the studio. We’ll keep you posted with progress.

Mich House Hipsters

We have no idea who made it, but here’s a flyer for our show at Mich House this Friday:

Pretty sweet, huh!?

Shirtless Shenanigans

Thanks to those who came out to Scorekeepers last night. You helped to raise close to one thousand dollars that will be used to help the patients of Mott Children’s Hospital attend camp Mak-A-Dream. A significant portion of that came from fans buying the shirts off of our backs (hence, “shirtless shenanigans”). Don’t forget about our show next weekend!

Money (Has Instrumental Value)

Okay, so that was a pretty bad pun, but at least it got your attention.  We recorded our first music video the other day and it turned out pretty well, so we thought that we would post it to the site.  Let us know what you think because making it was a lot of fun, and we would like to make another one sometime after the new year.  Enjoy!

Covert Recording of a Practice

We know that it’s been a while since we’ve made a post, so we thought that we would leave you with an update.  We’re in the processes of making some CD quality recordings of some of our originals.  Below you can see an excerpt of us rehearsing one with the working title, “If you give me your love.”  It was covertly recorded by a friend who sat in on one of our rehearsals.  We’re hoping to finish recording and EP soon, so keep checking back to see our progress!

When you look at this, think about that familiar, savory sound of Detroit Street Band. Don’t you feel better already?
